Following on from six hugely successful events for Women in Health and Safety in London, Edinburgh and Birmingham, our eighth regional event is taking place on the 4th February in Leicester.
Chaired by NEBOSH's Chief Executive, Teresa Budworth, and featuring a presentation from Sue Cooper, NEBOSH trustee and a non-executive director at Skills4 Ltd, the evening will focus on career planning for women in health and safety.
Teresa Budworth: ‘Upskilling Yourself into Leadership’
Reflecting upon her own experiences and the inspirational women who have inspired her own career progression, Teresa will discuss the skills required to make the transition into leadership.
Sue Cooper: 'Women in Engineering – Lessons for the Health and Safety Profession’
Sue will discuss her experience, gained during a 28-year consultancy career in human resources for engineering. She will describe the successes and challenges faced by women in the FTSE250 company where she worked for 20 years; reflecting on the ways in which women can develop their careers in a predominantly male working environment.
The evening will also feature a presentation and tasting samples by Cocoa Amore, an award-winning artisan chocolatier based in Leicester. Guests will each receive a box of handmade chocolates to take away.
This discussion will take place from 16.00 to 19.00 on 4th February at NEBOSH's headquarters in Leicester. Please note, places are limited to 20 people.
